Priest (2011) –
This was not very good.
While watching this movie, I saw a girl priest in the movie. Are there girl priest in the Catholic Church? I have never seen a girl priest in the Catholic Church before.
What I didn’t like?
In the middle of the movie, the producer decided to show three priests who died defending their faith crucified on the cross like Jesus Christ.
I did a Google search on ‘girl priest’ and I found garbage of information. I am just trying to find out if the Catholic Church has girl priest. There are many different opinions on this subject matter. But the only person who can answer this question is the pope who represents the authority of the Catholic Church.
The Pope made the following statement in an apostolic letter entitled Ordinatio Sacerdotialis:
“Wherefore, in order that all doubts may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk. 22:32), I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful” (http://www.concernedcatholics.org/femalepriests.htm )
A baptized male alone receives sacred ordination validly. ( http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/_P3P.HTM )
I guess the answers “No.”
I found out that there are shameless female priest who proclaim they are ordained priests and admit to breaking the Church’s Canon Law 1024
I guess people choose when they want to see and hear the truth. But I don’t think that is how truth operates. We have to seek truth to find truth and we have to accept truth for what it is.
Jumping the Broom (2011) –
Madea’s Big Happy Family (Video 2010) –
Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) – Bad movie. I do not like alternative lifestyles being weaved into kid movies. There is a character of a mankini-wearing Gay Gnome runing around the yard in his thong, yelling “I’m m’kay, I’m m’kay” (certainly sounds like “I’m gay, I’m gay” (duh), and I do not think this was just inadvertent. I just wish they would leave this kind of stuff out of kids movies, just like when they mess up the end of Monsters VS. Aliens in 2009.
The Adjustment Bureau (2011) –
Last Week, I watched this movie. The main characters are a young guy who was running for mayor, and a young girl who was an excellent dancer. The first time they met each other was in the MEN’s room.Curious? She ran into the Men’s room after she ruined someone’s wedding on purpose. After a five minutes talk, she kissed him passionately. I was shocked. Bexause of the huge pressure, he was forced to leave her alone and focus on the preparation for running a mayor. Two years later, he met her in a street. They slept together the same day after he aplologize for missing two years.
“So you are engagined with some guy?” He held her in his arm and asked after they had sex.
“yeah” She answered with no expression on her face.
” It is not serious, is it?”
“yeah, it is not serious.” She answered with a BIG smile on her face. I have to admit that I was shocked again. I can’t help wondering whether this is how most people consider engagement in America. I look up the word when I got home. Engagement means:
Rio (2011) – very colorful movie and did a good job depicting the culture of Brazil. But I think there was something a little bit weird but I can’t put my finger on it.
Black Swan (2010) – is artistic and creative. I can tell the director put a lot of thought behind this movie. A side of caution, there were moments that seem scary. If you don’t like scary moments then maybe this is not a good movie for you.
